Electroless Nickel plating is primarily used to provide hard, ductile, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant surfaces for operation in service up to 1000°F (40°C) and to provide uniform build-up on complex shapes. Similar to stainless steel in color.

  Post Heat Treatment Classes: 1 As-deposited, no heat treatment
    2 HT at 26-400°C to produce 850HK100 minimum
    3 HT at 180-200°C for 2-4 hours
    4 HT at 120-130°C for at least 1 hour
    5 HT at 140-150°C for at least 1 hour
    6 HT at 300-320°C for at least 1 hour

•Specification: AMS 2404 Electroless Nickel Plating

  Hardness Grades: A 90 knoop, maximum
    B 91-129 knoop, inclusive
    C 130-200 knoop, inclusive
    D 201 knoop, minimum

•Specification: AMS 2405 Electroless Nickel Plating, Low Phosphorus

  Hardness Grades: A 90 knoop, maximum
    B 91-129 knoop, inclusive
    C 130-200 knoop, inclusive
